Traveling with a departure date after December 15, 2024, can only be booked from/to Amsterdam Central, Schiphol (for Eurostar to Belgium and France), and Rotterdam Central. Thalys is now Eurostar
The name 'Thalys' is no longer in use, all trains are now called 'Eurostar. You can now book Eurostar to Paris, Disney and Charles de Gaulle. And Ski-Thalys is now called Eurostar Snow.

Eurostar schedule
Eurostar is the high-speed train offering daily connections between the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. For winter sports, Eurostar Snow takes you to numerous destinations in the French Alps. Eurostar Sun will not operate in 2025. Travel to the south of France is possible with a transfer in Paris or Brussels.
On weekends, Eurostar runs direct services to Charles de Gaulle Airport and Disneyland Paris. You can work or relax along the way — your holiday starts on the train.
Disneyland Paris
All Disney idols are even more accessible. You don't need to transfer to Brussels or Paris, but you travel directly to Disneyland Paris. Eurostar runs to Disney twice a day in just 3.50 hours!

Eurostar runs from Amsterdam via Schiphol and Rotterdam to Paris 10 times a day.

Thalys runs from Amsterdam via Schiphol and Rotterdam to Antwerp 14 times a day.
To ski destination with Eurostar Snow
In the winter months Eurostar Snow will bring you directly to Chambéry, Albertville, Moûtiers, Aime-la-Plagne, Landry and Bourg-St-Maurice. From these stations bus transfers will depart to different skiing villages.

Locating your carriage
Your carriage number is written on your ticket. On the platforms you will find posters with information about the train set-up which will indicate where you can best wait for your carriage. On the Eurostar trains, the carriage numbers are located next to the exterior doors. So, finding your carriage will be easy. In the carriage, seat numbers are clearly marked above the seats.

Travelling in Eurostar offers you comfort with free Wi-Fi in all Eurostar trains, both for Standard, Comfort and Premium.
Catering Eurostar
In the bar/buffet carriage, you can order coffee, tea or another beverage, and sandwiches, salads and hot or cold snacks. You can pay cash or, for orders of € 10.00 or more, with a credit card. You also have the option to purchase your metro ticket at the bar, but please note, they are not always available.
Electrical outlets
There are electrical outlets in the 1st and 2nd class (Comfort 1 and Comfort 2) next to your chair. You can use and charge your electronic devices during your trip.
Luggage in Eurostar
Conditions
- Each passenger is allowed to bring 2 pieces of luggage (maximum size 75 x 53 x 30 cm) and 1 piece of hand luggage.
- There is no weight restriction, but you must be able to carry your own luggage.
- Luggage must not block doors or aisles, and must not be secured with ropes, padlocks, or similar devices.
- Please label your luggage with your name, seat number, carriage number and destination. Folded prams can be taken on board free of charge and stored in the carriage where you are sitting.
Are you travelling with more luggage than is permitted? The train manager may charge a €30 surcharge per additional item. If there is no space available, additional luggage may be refused.
Luggage may be checked at random at Liège-Guillemins, Antwerp Central and Brussels-South/Midi stations..

- Eurostar may refuse entry to passengers who are under the influence of alcohol.
- Alcohol may be confiscated during checks or during the journey.
- You are not permitted to bring alcohol with you to sporting events, and nothing will be sold on board.

- Weapons and sporting weapons (such as crossbows or spears)
- Replicas or toy weapons that could be mistaken for real weapons
- Knives with blades longer than 75 mm
- Ammunition and fireworks
- Flammable or explosive substances (such as lighter gas, methylated spirits)
- Oxygen cylinders without medical necessity
- E-scooters and hoverboards (fire safety)
Bringing bicycles on board
Conditions
Permitted bicycles
- Bicycles are only permitted on board Eurostar trains if they are packed in a bicycle cover (135x85x30 cm).
- To do this, you must remove the front and rear wheels. You must be on the platform 30 minutes before the train departs to allow sufficient time to dismantle the bicycle.
- Folding bicycles: Folded folding bicycles are considered hand luggage as long as they do not exceed the dimensions of a suitcase, namely 75x53x30 cm.
Bicycles not permitted
- Unassembled bicycles
- Recumbent bicycles, tricycles, tandems, bicycle trailers, Segways
- Bicycles packaged in materials other than a bicycle cover or case
Use and placement
- Your bicycle must be dismantled and packed before departure; this cannot be done on the platform.
- Your bicycle will then be placed in the luggage racks or on the balcony of carriage 3/13.
- In addition to your packed bicycle, you may also bring 1 piece of regular luggage (suitcase, bag or trolley) and 1 piece of hand luggage.
- You must be able to carry all your luggage yourself, as there are no trolleys available.

Travellers with impaired mobility
Conditions
- Passengers with reduced mobility pay the standard fare unless they use the wheelchair space.
- Passengers using wheelchairs and their companions are eligible for a reduced fare (the Wheelchair and Companion Fare).
- A maximum of 1 companion can travel at the companion fare.
- Passengers with visual or hearing impairments pay the standard fare, as do their companions.
- Assistance dogs, guide dogs and service dogs travel free of charge without a ticket. Passengers must report the animal to the train manager.
Travelling with a wheelchair or mobility scooter
Wheelchair
- There are 2 wheelchair spaces available in Premier Class, in carriage 1 (depending on the route: 11, 21 or 31), seat numbers 22 and 23.
- Companion seats are located next to the wheelchair spaces at numbers 21 and 24.
- Maximum wheelchair dimensions: 120 cm long 70 cm wide turning diameter 150 cm.
Fuel-powered wheelchairs or scooters are not permitted.

- Manual wheelchair + passenger + luggage: max. 300 kg
- Electric wheelchair + passenger + luggage: max. 300 kg. Electric wheelchairs must have anti-tip protection.
Doors:
- Outer door width: 113 cm
- Inner door width: 77 cm
Are you travelling with a folding wheelchair that is wider than 70 cm? If so, it will need to be transported as luggage (max. dimensions: 75 x 53 x 30 cm) and you will need to travel in a regular seat.
Mobility scooter
Mobility scooters follow the same regulations as (electric) wheelchair:
- Max. 120 × 70 cm
- No fuel engine
- Placed in a wheelchair space
A mobility scooter cannot be folded up to fit into regular luggage.
Mobility aids and medical supplies
- Assistance and service dogs travel free of charge and do not require a ticket.
- Other aids must comply with standard luggage regulations.
- Medical aids, such as oxygen cylinders or large quantities of medicine, are subject to standard Eurostar rules (a doctor's certificate is required for large quantities or oxygen).
Assistance and bookings
Assistance
- You can request assistance with boarding and disembarking via NS Travel Assistance.
- Requests can be made up to 24 hours before departure.
- Assistance includes transfer from the station entrance to the train and/or to the next transport option (train/bus/taxi).
In the Netherlands (Amsterdam & Rotterdam) extra services are available (trail):
- Luggage assistance: assistance with 1 piece of luggage weighing up to 15 kg.
- Station wheelchair: available for passengers with a regular seat who have difficulty walking.
- For these services, you must make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance via 030 – 235 78 22.

- The wheelchair space and the Companion fare cannot be booked online.

Bringing pets on board
You can take your pet with you on the Eurostar to Belgium and France, in both second and first class. A maximum of two small pets or one large dog is permitted per passenger. However, there are a few rules that apply:
Conditions
- Small pets: Small pets weighing less than 6 kg can travel free of charge if they are transported in a cage, bag or basket. These must not exceed 55 x 30 x 30 cm (L x W x H). If the train is busy, you must hold the cage, bag or basket on your lap.
- Large pets: You must purchase a ticket for any pet weighing more than 6 kg. Pets are only allowed on the train if they are held on your lap or kept on a leash and muzzled and are on the floor.
- Guide and assistance dogs: Registered guide and assistance dogs are always welcome and can travel free of charge. All you need to do is inform the train manager that your dog is on board. Your dog does not need to be muzzled. More information for passengers with impaired mobility travelling with Eurostar to Belgium and France.
Animals not permitted: Dangerous dogs, wild animals and birds (parrots, canaries, etc.).
- Passenger's comfort: If a passenger objects to the presence of a pet, the train manager may ask the owner to move to another part of the train with their animal.
Buying a ticket for your pet
- If your pet weighs more than 6 kg, you can purchase a ticket from the train manager for €30. Payment can be made in cash or by credit card. Please note that it is not possible to reserve a seat for a pet.
Eurostar Snow & Eurostar Sun
- Pets are not permitted on board the Eurostar Snow and Eurostar Sun
Guide and assistance dogs are permitted. They travel free of charge and do not need to be muzzled. All you need to do is inform the train manager that your dog is on board.
