How do you travel to Brussels by train?

From the Randstad area, you can travel quickly and comfortably to Brussels by train. You start at your local station and change in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Breda or Schiphol. From there, you take a direct international train to Brussels.

Which train goes directly to Brussels?

There are three direct train connections from the Netherlands to Brussels:

  • Eurocity Direct: This fast and comfortable train connects Amsterdam with Brussels. It runs up to 16 times per day. Some trains start in Lelystad and travel via Almere and Amsterdam Zuid. Check our journey planner for exact departure stations.
  • EuroCity: A good choice if you travel from the south of the Netherlands. This train runs 16 times per day from Rotterdam to Brussels, stopping in Breda, Noorderkempen, Antwerp, Mechelen and Zaventem.
  • Eurostar: Eurostar runs up to 14 times per day from Amsterdam to Brussels, via Schiphol and Rotterdam. This high-speed train includes a reserved seat and is very fast.

Can you travel to Brussels with NS?

Yes, with NS International you can travel directly to Brussels. Together with the Belgian railway company NMBS, we offer 32 direct trains between the Netherlands and Belgium every day. With Eurocity Direct and EuroCity, you enjoy shorter travel times, more comfort and better connections. These trains reach speeds up to 200 km/h and depart from Lelystad, Almere, Amsterdam Zuid, Rotterdam and Breda.
