Near Brussels South (Zuid-Midi)

Brussels South Station is located south of the Brussels city centre. The station is surrounded by pleasant neighbourhoods and special sights. Travelling via Brussels South is the ideal way to visit the popular and artistic Marolles district. Just a few minutes' walk away, you will find trendy vintage shops, antique shops and the famous flea market on Place du Jeu de Balle, where you can search for treasures every day. Brussels' oldest working-class neighbourhood is also home to numerous inviting restaurants and pubs. Feel like a bit of culture? Visit the Brussels Law Courts, a stately courthouse in neoclassical style. Or take a less than ten-minute walk to the Hallepoort, Brussels' former city gate and now a museum. So, there is plenty to see and do!

Changing trains at Brussels South Station (Zuid-Midi)

The Belgian capital has no fewer than 35 train stations operated by NMBS, with Brussels South being the largest station on the Belgian rail network. The four other largest train stations in Brussels are: Brussels Central, Brussels North, Brussels-Luxemburg and Brussels-Schuman. At Brussels South Station, you can change over to any station and continue your journey with Eurostar or TGV.

At Brussels South Station, Intercity Brussels normally arrives on track 14 or 15. Are you in the front or middle of the train? Then walk in the opposite direction to the direction of travel, to the back of the train. Here, you will find the escalator that leads to the central hall of the station. This way, you can change trains easily and quickly.

When you want to explore the rest of Brussels, you can use the metro. At Brussels South Station, you can easily catch the metro. The Brussels metro network is extensive and the route is easy to plan. You buy metro tickets at the stations by using contactless payment.
