Travel and book with the app

With the NS International app you always have the international route planner at hand. This way you can easily plan your international train journey. You can immediately see what your trip will cost and you can book it directly from the app and download it as an e-ticket or mobile ticket.

Always the most up-to-date travel information

With the NS International app you always have the most up-to-date travel information. This gives you insight into the real-time departure and arrival times and you are immediately informed of any disruptions and changes. In that case, the app will help you with adapted travel advice.

How does this work?

  • Select a departure and arrival station in the app. Select time and train and press the star in the top right corner. You will then see a screen in which you can indicate that you want to receive messages if there are changes.
  • Booked a ticket? Then click on 'Tickets in App' in the confirmation email. Your ticket will be downloaded to the app. Click on 'My bookings' and then on 'Travel details'. Below the image you can indicate whether you want to receive notifications for the trip.

Traveling with a mobile ticket

It is possible to book a mobile ticket for Thalys to Antwerp, Brussels, Lille and Paris and for destinations in Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy and Austria. You no longer need to bring a paper ticket. Use the mobile ticket barcode on your mobile to pass through closed gates and when checking. You can also access your ticket via your mobile without internet.

How does this work?

  • Download NS International App
  • Open the confirmation email on your mobile and click on the link to your mobile ticket
  • Your ticket is automatically saved in the NS International App under 'My bookings'

If you opt for a mobile ticket, the following applies:

  • The mobile ticket is personal and non-transferable.
  • Download the NS International App
  • You load the mobile ticket in the NS International App before you travel.
  • Control takes place, among other things, on the basis of identification. Bring your valid identity document with photo (passport or identity card), the train manager / conductor can ask for this.
  • Travel is only possible on the date and / or train booked by you, unless the fare conditions state otherwise.
  • The usual conditions of the rate apply to changes and cancellations.
  • In case of a request for reimbursement within 2 days (Belgium) or 7 days (Germany) after the commencement date of the ticket, a refund will be made via the original payment method after these 2 or 7 days due to control data to be received.
  • For a mobile ticket purchased via the NS International desk in the Service Shop, you can submit a request for reimbursement at the NS International desk before the start of the journey or after the stated period.
  • This rule does not apply if your refund request is for a Thalys journey. A request for reimbursement can also be submitted to NS International Customer Service.
