How do you travel to Ghent by train?

It is easy to travel from the Netherlands to Ghent by train. You start at a station near you and travel via Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Breda with an international train to Antwerp. There, you change to a domestic Belgian train to Ghent-Sint-Pieters. You can travel with Eurostar, Eurocity Direct or EuroCity. In Antwerp, you change to a Belgian train that takes you to the centre of Ghent.

Is there a direct train to Ghent?

No, there is no direct international train from the Netherlands to Ghent. You travel with a transfer in Antwerp. From there, several trains per hour go to Ghent.
