With Eurostar, you board at Amsterdam Centraal or Rotterdam Centraal and travel directly to London St. Pancras International, with no hassle. No arriving at an airport on the edge of the city, no long transfers. You step off the train and London is right there.
The high-speed train travels via Rotterdam, Brussels and the Channel Tunnel. From Amsterdam, you arrive in central London in around four hours. From Rotterdam, in just over three hours. Train travel to London really can be that simple.

Check-in time for the direct Eurostar
Direct travel to London is possible from Amsterdam and Rotterdam. You check in at the Eurostar Departures Terminal: your tickets, luggage and passport are checked. Your ticket/fare determines how long in advance you should check in, this is stated at the top of your Eurostar ticket:
- Premier (1st class): check in closes 20 minutes before departure.
- Plus (1st class) and Standard (2nd class): check in closes 30 minutes before departure at all stations.
Be on time at ypur departure station
The time on your ticket is the departure time of the train, not the check-in time. Make sure you arrive at the station well in advance. The recommended arrival time varies by ticket and is shown at the top of your Eurostar ticket, but is usually between 45 and 90 minutes before departure.
