What can you do in 2 days Lokeren?

Day 1: Hares, hiking and good food

Gleaming hares and hair trimming

Begin your walk at the gleaming steel hares on the Durme. These pay homage to Lokeren's past, when the town was renowned worldwide for processing rabbit and hare skins into hair for felt hats. You can discover the complete story of this remarkable industry at the nearby City Museum.

On Sunday mornings, you can browse the stalls at the largest flea market in Flanders on the Stationsplein!

The street artist ROA has created a giant hare on the City Museum's façade. You can also admire more street art at the Cultural Centre.
Address: Markt 15a

Just a stone's throw from the market lies the Molsbroek: the region's largest nature reserve and a true paradise for birdwatchers.
