Booking train tickets for a ski holiday in 2027
We understand that you want to plan your ski holiday well in advance. Are you travelling after 12 December 2026? Train tickets for this period are not available yet. The new timetable starts on 13 December. Tickets for journeys to and via Germany and Austria will therefore go on sale later.
You can receive an automatic notification as soon as the tickets become available:
- Choose your preferred travel date in the booking calendar.
- Click ‘Set alert’ and enter your email address.
- You will receive an email as soon as the tickets are available.
This allows you to book straight away and gives you the best chance of getting the lowest price.

Skiing holidays in Switzerland by train
It takes less than 10 hours to get to the Swiss mountains by train. You can travel directly with the night train to Basel and Zurich. You can also travel with ICE to Basel. From there, catch the train to your favourite winter sports resort. After this comfortable journey, you will be ready to ski or snow board down the mountains!
