Ski destinations and areas in Austria

Ski holiday Austria

In the west of Austria lie the regions of Vorarlberg, Tyrol and Salzburg. The winter sports opportunities here are exceptional. That probably won’t surprise you, as these ski areas have long been popular among Dutch winter sports enthusiasts, from beginners to advanced skiers.

Winter sports Austria means choosing from countless destinations with well-groomed slopes, charming villages and reliable snow conditions. Tyrol lies in the heart of the Alps and offers suitable ski areas for every type of skier. For example, you can visit Gerlos, a snow-sure area with almost 150 kilometres of slopes, or enjoy endless runs on the more than 300 kilometres of pistes in St. Anton.

Even outside Tyrol, you’ll find extensive ski regions such as Saalbach-Hinterglemm in Salzburg or Lech in Vorarlberg, all ideal destinations for your ski holiday in Austria.
