Travel by Eurocity Direct or Eurostar from Amsterdam of Rotterdam to Brussel-Zuid (Midi). From there, change to a train to Hasselt and Tongeren. The regional train from Brussel-Zuid (Midi) takes around 1 hour and 50 minutes to reach Tongeren. From Maastricht, you can travel to Tongeren via Liège in approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.
