Step back in time with a visit to Parc Astérix, the fantastic theme park in Plailly, about 35 kilometres north of Paris. The park’s newest attraction is Village Gaulois, which is made to look like Astérix and Obelix's home. But the real sensation for dare-devils is still the wooden roller coaster Tonnerre de Zeus.
Thalys runs 10 times a day straight to Paris Gare du Nord. From Gare du Nord you can walk to the Gare de l’Est metro station (Verdun) where you catch the subway to Palais Royal. From there, you can take one of the buses that depart every 20 minutes (starting at 9.45 hrs) to the theme park. The buses from the park to Paris start to leave from 18.30 hrs. A return ticket for this shuttle bus costs € 20. Children under 3 years travel for free.
Both the opening times and days of Parc Astérix vary depending on the season. For the most up-to-date information and prices, see the theme park's website.
Experience the magic with the whole family or friends. The park's 30th anniversary will last until 30 September 2023.
