Frankfurt's nicest shopping street

Frankfurt's main and most famous shopping street is the Zeil. Major retail chains, shopping centres and catering establishments are located along this 1.2-kilometre-long, car-free shopping street.

Prefer shopping in narrow streets? Then visit the hip Bornheim district, northeast of the city centre, where you can find Frankfurt's trendiest shops. The lively main street, Bergerstrasse, is full of small boutiques, pleasant cafés, restaurants and cider houses. Every Wednesday and Saturday, this bustling district comes more alive with the Bornheimer Wochenmarkt. Stroll past stalls selling vegetables, flowers, souvenirs and taste the most tasty delicacies.

Shop at a mall in Frankfurt

Shop opening hours in Frankfurt are roughly the same throughout the city. Both in the city centre and the suburbs, shops are open Monday to Saturday from 10.00 to 19.00 hrs. They do not have a regular shopping evening in Frankfurt, but some shops and shopping centres choose to stay open until 21.00 hrs. The big department stores like MyZeil, Skyline Plaza and Galeria Frankfurt have opening hours from 10.00 to 20.00 or 21.00 hrs.
