Fifth Daily Eurostar Between the Netherlands and London Starting December 2025

2 December, 2025

Good news for travellers between the Netherlands and the United Kingdom: from 16 December 2025, Eurostar will operate five direct trains per day to and from London, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. This will make travelling between the two countries even easier, more comfortable and more sustainable.

The expansion follows the opening of the new terminal in Amsterdam in early 2025, which has significantly increased capacity on the route. Since its opening, passenger numbers between London and Amsterdam have risen by 20%.

Up to 9,000 seats per day

With five direct trains per day and a capacity of around 900 seats per train, Eurostar will offer approximately 9,000 seats per day on the route between the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. This high capacity is made possible by the deployment of Eurostar’s newest trains, the e320 model.

First day with five trains in each direction is 16 December

The first fifth direct train will depart from London on 15 December. Due to planned rail engineering works in the Netherlands, 16 December is the first day on which five direct trains will operate to and from London.

Earlier this year, on 9 September, the fourth daily service was introduced. The addition of a fifth train from December gives travellers extra flexibility, particularly around the festive period, when demand for international rail travel is traditionally high.

Timetable from 16 December, 2025

International train travel continues to grow

Eurostar is a sustainable alternative to air travel within Europe. “The London–Amsterdam route is a heavily flown one,” said Heike Luiten, Managing Director of NS International. “With five daily services and capacity for 9,000 passengers per day, we are connecting more people with London than ever before.”

In 2024, 4.3 million people already travelled by Eurostar to and from the Netherlands.
