Travel with GoVolta to Berlin and Paris

GoVolta timetable

GoVolta is a Dutch train operator that offers direct services from Amsterdam to Berlin. From 14 December 2026, it will also offer services to Paris.

Amsterdam – Berlin

GoVolta runs a direct service between Amsterdam Central and Berlin-Spandau six times a week. Until 27 September 2026, you can board the train in the Netherlands at Amsterdam Central, Amersfoort Central, Deventer and Hengelo stations. From 28 September 2026 onwards, the train will also stop at Hilversum and Apeldoorn.

Stop in Hanover

On the route to and from Berlin, the train will stop at Bad Bentheim and Hanover. From 28 September 2026, it will also stop at Braunschweig and Magdeburg.

Amsterdam-Paris

From 14 December 2026, GoVolta will run a daily direct service between Amsterdam Central and Paris Gare du Nord Station. In the Netherlands, the train will stop at Haarlem, The Hague HS, Rotterdam Central, Lage Zwaluwe and Roosendaal. On the way, it will also stop at Antwerp, Ghent, Arras and Amiens.

Boarding stations in the Netherlands

Until 27 September 2026, you can board the train for journeys to Berlin at Amsterdam Central, Amersfoort Central, Deventer and Hengelo. From 28 September 2026 onwards, the train will also stop at Hilversum and Apeldoorn.

From 14 December 2026, you will be able the train for journeys to Paris at Amsterdam Central, Haarlem, The Hague HS, Rotterdam Central, Lage Zwaluwe and Roosendaal.

GoVolta comfort classes

GoVolta offers two comfort classes: Economy and Comfort. Below you can find out what facilities and options are available on board.

Economy Class

• The most affordable travel option
• Rows of two seats side by side, seats facing each other
• Guaranteed seat always included
• Upgrade to XL Duo Seat available for extra legroom and a forward-facing seat
• Toilets available in the carriage

Comfort Class

• Extra wide seats and more personal space
• Rows of one or two seats side by side
• Generous luggage storage
• Seats facing each other
• Toilets available in the carriage

XL Duo Seat

GoVolta trains have seats that face each other. With the XL Duo Seat, you can also reserve the seat opposite, ensuring that you always face forward and have extra legroom, while also guaranteeing that the seat opposite remains empty. You can choose which of the two reserved seats you would like to sit in.

GoVolta Lounge

GoVolta expects to launch the GoVolta Lounge, offering food and drink on board, on 14 December 2026. Hot and cold drinks, snacks, and light meals will be available here. The GoVolta Lounge will then be open to all passengers.

Until then, passengers are advised to bring enough food and drink for the duration of their journey.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is not available on GoVolta trains.

Practical information

Guaranteed seat

GoVolta guarantees a seat for every passenger. If you do not select a seat, GoVolta will automatically assign you an available one. In that case, sitting together is not guaranteed. Would you prefer to sit together or face forward? Select a seat or an XL Duo Seat when booking your ticket. It is not possible to change seats on board. Are you travelling with a minor? They will always be seated next to at least one parent or guardian from the same booking.

Luggage

Two items of hand luggage are always included:

• one item of up to 55 × 40 × 25 cm and
• one smaller item of up to 30 × 20 × 15 cm.

Would you like to bring a large suitcase? You can add this to your ticket when booking.

Travelling with impaired mobility

GoVolta trains have high steps with several stairs, and they are not equipped with dedicated wheelchair spaces or adapted toilets. However, if you can manage a few steps independently or with a little help, and can sit in a standard chair, you can usually travel with GoVolta. You can bring a foldable, manual wheelchair on board, but it must be folded during the journey. Unfortunately, travelling while seated in your own wheelchair is not possible. If you require assistance when boarding or during the journey, we advise you to travel with a companion.

Travelling with an assistance dog

Assistance dogs are welcome on board. Please be aware that there will be no opportunity to walk your assistance dog during the journey. Although the train stops at various stations along the route, the stops are too brief to allow you to leave the train for this purpose.

Terminal stations

The train to Berlin terminates at Berlin-Spandau. The train to Paris terminates at Paris Gare du Nord.

Bicycles on board the train

It is not possible to bring standard bicycles on board.

Pets

Pets are not permitted on board.
