Eurocity travel information
The Eurocity is a long-distance train that operates between Berlin, Dresden and Prague.
Route to Berlin
You can travel to Berlin on the direct ICE train. There, you can change to the train to Dresden and Prague. You can choose from several connections per day.
Eurocity classes
Eurocity offers two travel classes: first class and second class. In first class, you benefit from extra advantages such as more comfort and additional legroom.

Free access to lounges
If you have a 1st class ticket, you can relax with a complimentary drink in the NS International Lounge in Amsterdam, Schiphol and Rotterdam. You also have access to the 1st class lounge of Deutsche Bahn at Berlin Hauptbahnhof, where you can enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks (excluding the Super Sparpreis Europa and Sparpreis Europa fares).

Finding your carriage
Carriage numbers are clearly displayed on the side of the train doors, on the vestibule and above the doors inside the carriage. Using the carriage number on your ticket, you can easily find the correct carriage.
Travel information
On board, you can follow your journey via the screens in your carriage. These show the latest travel information, departure and arrival times for each station, and connecting trains. Please also pay attention to on-board announcements.
Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi is available on all Eurocity trains, in both 1st and 2nd class. This allows you to work, send emails or use social media during your journey.
Catering
Everything is taken care of during your journey with Eurocity. In the bar/bistro, you can order a light meal, sandwiches, salads, hot snacks or a drink. Payment is possible in cash or by credit card.
Luggage
- Only take luggage that you can easily carry, store, and bring yourself.
- Place your luggage on the luggage racks above the seats or in the space under your seat.
- Luggage must not block passages or obstruct other passengers.
- You may take a maximum of 2 pieces of large luggage measuring 90 x 60 x 40 cm and 1 piece of hand luggage.

Bringing pets on board
- Pets are allowed as long as they are not a hindrance to other passengers. When other passengers take offence at a pet, the Train Manager can ask you to take a different seat.
- Pets need an animal passport: ask your vet for further detais.
- Small pets travel for free in a cage, bag or basket with a maximum size of 90 x 60 x 40 cm.
- Dogs that cannot be carried in a bag or basket need to travel with a dog ticket, be kept on a leash and wear a muzzle. Dog tickets on Eurocity can be booked via NS International.
- Pets are not allowed in 1st class carriages.
