Direct Eurostar to London has begun
The very first Eurostar directly from Amsterdam to London left on time on Monday 26 October. The direct connection means that changing trains in Brussels is no longer necessary. It will take 4 hours for you to reach the centre of the British capital starting from Amsterdam Central Station. From Rotterdam Central it takes just 3.5 hours.
The government still advises to limit travel as much as possible to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. A city trip to London is therefore probably not advisable. But perhaps we can inspire you for the future.

The train, which can run at a maximum speed of 300 km per hour, travels from the Netherlands via Belgium and France to Great Britain.
Check-in
Eurostar is slightly different than other international trains as you have to check in. Your luggage and passport will be checked at the terminal at the station. In the animation on the right you can see how this works.

We have taken extra hygiene measures. Trains are thoroughly cleaned before every journey and frequently touched items are cleaned and disinfected during the journey.
To avoid crowding, not all seats are made available and passengers are seated throughout the train as much as possible.
