Christmas markets are held all over the city and the intimate streets are romantically decorated. In the centre, at Old Town Square, you will find the largest market with a huge Christmas tree. At the markets, you can buy presents and enjoy good food with svařák, the Czech version of mulled wine ('glühwein').
You can travel comfortably to your destination with Intercity Berlin and Eurocity. You will travel to Berlin with Intercity Berlin and from there catch the Eurocity to Prague where you will arrive in the heart of the city.

Prague's Christmas markets are open from 29 November 2021 to 1 January 2022 (possibly subject to change). On New Year's Eve, fireworks can be seen above Prague Castle, which is on the hill overlooking the city.
In winter, Prague is often covered in snow, which is spectacularly beautiful. There are less people than in summer, so you can shop peacefully in the luxury shopping streets or in the smaller shops in the centre. And afterwards, enjoy a hot goulash soup in one of the many restaurants.
This winter, visit one of the charming and authentic Christmas markets in, for example, Belgium or Germany.
