1. London

2. Berlin

In the metropolis of Berlin, you will find no less than 100 Christmas markets. There's something for everyone! Go to Alexanderplatz, for example, where you'll see a complete fair next to quaint stalls. Or would you rather dream away from the beautifully lit Schloß Charlottenburg? 3. Vienna

The city of Sissi, opera, classical arts, and baroque architecture, and one of the most atmospheric Christmas markets. It’s like Christmas was created for this beautiful city. 4. Düsseldorf

At the end of the year, Düsseldorf's city centre changes into a fairytale land. Walk from square to square through decorated shopping streets and shop till you drop. The train will take you straight home so that you can relax in your favourite chair.

5. Brussels

At the largest Christmas market in Belgium, 240 stalls sell a wide variety of Christmas items: from lovely gifts to delicious Belgian delicacies. In the Ferris wheel – which is decorated with 18,000 lights – you can look out over all the stalls and the ice rink. Intercity Brussels takes you quickly to the heart of the city.
