It is possible to get from the Netherlands to the heart of London in about 4.5 hours. From London to Amsterdam is even quicker: you will be back in Amsterdam in just 3h55m. The journey to Rotterdam only takes 3.16 hours.
Since June 2019 there is an extra direct train from London to Amsterdam.
For the time being, when travelling to England, changing trains in Brussel-Zuid/Midi remains necessary.

Booking train tickets for Eurostar
- Directly from London to Rotterdam or Amsterdam with Eurostar: 2 travel options a day, departure from London at 8.31 and 17.31 hrs (local time). In addition, there are of course several options every day with a transfer in Brussel-Zuid/Midi.
- For the time being, on the outward journey, you will need to transer to Eurostar at Brussel-Zuid/Midi. The combination Thalys-Eurostar has the shortest travel time: about 4.5 hours. It is also possible to travel to Brussel-Zuid/Midi with Intercity Brussels.
Eurostar London-Amsterdam can be booked from ? 40. For the outward journey there is a combination of a Thalys-Eurostar ticket for sale from ? 59.
To London: later on also directly
As soon as there is agreement between the governments of the Netherlands and the UK about passport control, a direct Eurostar will also run from Amsterdam to London. That is expected to be at the end of 2019.
