The only cable car on the Mediterranean is located in Toulon. In 7 minutes, it will take you to the top of Mont Faron. We recommend you take a walk here. Once back down, the harbour is well worth a visit. Today, this is the most important military port on the French Mediterranean coastline. In the Musée National de la Marine, you’ll learn all about the Navy and the port itself. The Musée d'Art, with its 5,000 works of art from the 17th to the 20th century, is also highly recommended. Shopping can be done in the chic Mourillon district or around Place Puget. Centre Commercial Mayol is in the harbour. This large shopping mall has everything you need. In Cours de La Fayette you’ll find a typical Provencal market with local specialties.
