In the Gare du Nord area
The neighborhood around station Gare du Nord is a melting pot of cultures. There are dozens of Indian, Japanese and Greek restaurants. The largest indoor market in Paris – Saint-Quentin – is just a 5-minute walk from the station. The best place to buy the finest fresh produce. Do you want to experience the real Paris, then walk down the Rue de Faubourg Saint-Denis. Intimate cafes and trendy coffee shops are plentiful. In the evening, you can enjoy a delicious cocktail with good music. There's enough to do!
Change at Gare du Nord

Besides the area around the Gare du Nord station, the rest of Paris is easy to discover by metro. The Parisianmetro networks is extensive and the route is easy to map out. Tip: Tickets for the metro can be purchased at any metro station, but they are also available in the Thalys bar coach.

You can safely leave your luggage in the lockers of the station's luggage storage area. You can find the depot by following the signs "sonsigne" downstairs. Prices vary between € 5.50 and € 9.50 per 24 hours, depending on the size of the suitcase. The depot is open Monday to Sunday from 06.15 to 23.15 hrs.
