      Check-in time for the direct Eurostar

      Direct travel to London is possible from Amsterdam and Rotterdam. You check in at the Eurostar Departures Terminal: your tickets, luggage and passport are checked. This means that you must be at the Terminal at least 30 minutes before departure. The terminal is open 90 minutes before the departure of the train.

      Please note that the time on your ticket is the departure time of your Eurostar train. You must arrive at the station earlier to check in!

      From the Netherlands to London

      If you are departing from Amsterdam Central, you need to check-in at the Eurostar Departures Terminal on track 15b. On this map can be seen where the terminal is located. If you travel with Eurostar from Rotterdam Central, go to the Eurostar Departures Terminal on track 2. Here you can find the location of the terminal.

      From London to the Netherlands

      On the return journey from London to the Netherlands, the ticket, baggage and passport check takes place in the Eurostar Channel Terminal at the London St. Pancras International. Because there are a lot of busy trains leaving at London St. Pancras, we advise you to be at the Eurostar Channel Terminal at least 45 minutes in advance.

      Check-in times Eurostar in Brussels

      The Eurostar high-speed train travels through the Channel Tunnel when going from Brussels to London. Therefore, the safety requirements for this train are higher than for other international rail travel in Europe. This is why passengers must check-in when travelling with Eurostar. Passengers need to check-in in Brussels, or on the way back in London, at least 30 minutes prior to departure.

      It is your responsibility to check you have enough time to change trains when planning the trip. A first class Business Premier ticket will give you access to the lounge in Brussels as well as a special, short check-in time of 10 minutes.

      Please note: If you are travelling on Eurostar with an Interrail ticket, you will need a check-in time of 45 minutes.

      Luggage in Eurostar

      Your luggage is checked in the Eurostar Departures Terminal. This is done with the same equipment as at the airport. Good to know: you are permitted to take liquids in packages of > 100 ml!

      Bicycle in Eurostar

      Only a limited number of bicycles can be taken (two per train). Making a reservation is mandatory and bicycles can only be taken from/ to Amsterdam Central station.

      Metro in London

      After a quick and comfortable train journey with Eurostar you arrive at London St. Pancras International station in the heart of London. London has an excellent public transport system of subways and buses. With the special Oystercard you can use all bus and metro lines in London. The Oystercard can also be purchased online at
