Sparpreis Europa
Semi-flexible tickets ICE and IC Berlin
Ticket/rate type Description Ticket conditions Change and cancellation policy Sparpreis Europa Semi-flexible tickets Price depends on availability. The rate can be booked up to 1 day before departure. You are obligated to travel on the date and with the train(s) indicated on your ticket. This does not apply to trains within the Netherlands and regional trains abroad. +City is offered for a large number of German destinations: if this addition is indicated on your ticket, you may use local public transport for your journey to/from the station. Permitted up to the 1st day of validity for a cost of € 19 per ticket. From the 1st day of validity, refunds are no longer possible.
Please note: Cancelling a part of the trip or changing the number of travellers is not possible. You can only cancel the trip in its entirety. We advise you to first check what a new booking will cost. It is possible that the original booking rate is no longer available and that you must pay more. -
Flexpreis Europa
Flexible tickets ICE and IC Berlin
Ticket/rate type Ticket conditions Change and cancellation policy Flexpreis Europa You need to travel the same route and travel by the same product as indicated on your ticket. This does not apply to trains within the Netherlands and regional trains abroad.
It is possible to travel by train in a lower product category as long as you follow the same route.
Category A: ICE - highest category
Category B: IC (Intercity) / EC (Euro City)
Category C: RE / RB / S (regional trains) - lowest category
If you wish to travel by train from a higher product category than listed on your ticket, it is necessary to purchase a new ticket (if your itinerary changes before departure) or to pay extra on the train (if your itinerary changes during your trip).
* +City is offered for a large number of German destinations: if this addition is indicated on your ticket, you may use local public transport for your journey to/from the station.100% before the date of validity. From the date of validity up to 1 month after the date of validity, tickets that have clearly not been used, can be refunded for € 19.00 per ticket.
